On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Seniors of Mesrobian Higher Technical College (MHTC) proudly participated in the Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, organized by the Barbara Nassar Foundation at Forum de Beyrouth.
This meaningful event brought together politicians, university faculty members, schools, educational administrations, and representatives of various organizations, all united by a common purpose: raising awareness about breast cancer, promoting early detection, and standing in solidarity with those affected by the disease.
Throughout the event, awareness, compassion, and solidarity were at the heart of every step. The gathering served as a powerful reminder that breast cancer awareness is not simply a campaign, but a shared responsibility that calls for education, support, and action within every community. Early detection can make a significant difference, highlighting the importance of regular medical check-ups and timely screening.
Our Seniors took part in the walk with enthusiasm and a strong sense of social responsibility. By joining this initiative, they became voices of awareness, demonstrating that young people can play an essential role in promoting positive change and supporting meaningful causes.
Their participation reflected the values that MHTC strives to instill in its students: compassion, solidarity, citizenship, and active engagement in society. Through this experience, our students were reminded that even a single voice can contribute to a greater message, and that collective action can help build a more informed, supportive, and caring community.
At MHTC, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. It also means learning to care, standing beside those in need, and becoming the voice of awareness wherever it is needed.
Together, let us continue to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and stand in solidarity with every person affected by breast cancer.
