The opening of the 2026–2027 academic year at Mesrobian High School, on September 23, 2026, was marked by a unique and symbolic presence. Throughout every stage of the opening-day programme from welcoming parents to hosting the ceremony, the school’s new artificial intelligence assistant, “Mesro,” was present.
To highlight Mesro’s new role in Mesrobian’s educational and communication activities, the school administration ensured that it appeared not only digitally but also in physical form as a humanoid robot dressed in traditional Armenian attire. This image embodied Mesrobian’s unwavering vision: a school that remains faithful to its roots while looking firmly toward the future.
This year, Mesro was the first to welcome parents and students at the school entrance. It shared updates concerning the new academic year, guided parents, and participated in hosting the official opening programme, creating enthusiasm among everyone present.
Mesro’s presence carries strong symbolic significance. It marks the official introduction of artificial intelligence at Mesrobian, both as an educational programme designed to develop students’ digital skills and as a practical component of the school’s daily life. Mesro will also soon be launched as a chatbot, serving as a communication bridge between the school and parents, facilitating the exchange of information and ensuring faster communication.
Parents were present on the opening day and shared in the moving moments of the students’ first classes. The school’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, accompanied by the School Chaplain, Reverend Father Sahag Keshishian, personally visited the students, welcomed the young Mesrobians, encouraged them, and conveyed his best wishes to the generation embarking on a new journey.
The new academic year at Mesrobian began with enthusiasm, smiles, and great hope for the future. Mesrobian is entering a new chapter in which tradition and innovation move forward more closely, hand in hand.
