Mesrobian High School’s Psychologist, Ms. Christine El Zain, held two separate meetings with 7th and 8th grade students to discuss the important topic of bullying in a school and its consequences.
During the meetings, students were guided to clearly distinguish between common misunderstandings and bullying. Ms. El Zain explained that while disagreements between peers can be natural and can cause unpleasant misunderstandings, bullying, however, refers to repeated harmful behavior, intentional threats, or acts of isolating someone that negatively affect a student’s well-being and sense of security.
The psychologist told the students that our school has a clear support system that students can turn to if they are being bullied. Ms. El Zain emphasized that students are not alone and can always turn to the head of the department who can coordinate work with the school’s social worker and psychologist if necessary. She emphasized the importance of speaking up and asking for help instead of staying silent.
The meetings conveyed clear and decisive messages: that bullying will not be tolerated at Mesrobian, and that the school is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. Any confirmed case of bullying will result in consequences and, if necessary, the administration will take serious and decisive measures.
Through such awareness meetings, Mesrobian continues to foster a culture of respect, responsibility and care, emphasizing that every student in the school community deserves to receive support and to feel safe and valued.
La psychologue du Collège Mesrobian, Mme Christine El Zain, a animé deux réunions distinctes avec les élèves de EB7 et EB8 afin d'aborder le sujet important du harcèlement scolaire et de ses conséquences.
Au cours de ces réunions, les élèves ont été sensibilisés à la différence entre les malentendus courants et le harcèlement. Mme El Zain a expliqué que si les désaccords entre pairs peuvent être naturels et engendrer des malentendus désagréables, le harcèlement, quant à lui, désigne des comportements nuisibles répétés, des menaces intentionnelles ou des actes d'isolement qui affectent négativement le bien-être et le sentiment de sécurité d'un élève.
La psychologue a informé les élèves que l'établissement dispose d'un dispositif de soutien clair auquel ils peuvent faire appel en cas de harcèlement. Mme El Zain a souligné que les élèves ne sont pas seuls et peuvent toujours s'adresser à la responsable du département, qui peut coordonner son action avec l'assistante sociale et la psychologue scolaire si nécessaire. Elle a insisté sur l'importance de parler et de demander de l'aide plutôt que de garder le silence.
Les réunions ont transmis des messages clairs et décisifs : le harcèlement scolaire est strictement interdit à Mesrobian, et l’établissement s’engage à offrir un environnement d’apprentissage sûr et respectueux à tous les élèves. Tout cas avéré de harcèlement entraînera des conséquences et, si nécessaire, la direction prendra des mesures sérieuses et décisives.
Grâce à ces réunions de sensibilisation, Mesrobian continue de promouvoir une culture de respect, de responsabilité et de bienveillance, en soulignant que chaque élève de la communauté scolaire mérite d’être soutenu et de se sentir en sécurité et valorisé.
Մեսրոպեան վարժարանի հոգեբան Քրիսթին Էլ Զէյն երկու առանձին հանդիպումներ ունեցաւ 7-րդ եւ 8-րդ դասարաններու աշակերտներուն հետ՝ դպրոցի մը մէջ ծանակի (bullying) եւ անոր հետեւանքներուն կարեւոր նիւթը քննարկելու համար։
Հանդիպումներուն ընթացքին աշակերտները ուղղորդուեցան յստակ տարբերելու սովորական թիւրիմացութիւնները ծանակէն։ Օրիորդ Էլ Զէյն բացատրեց, որ թէեւ հասակակիցներու միջեւ անհամաձայնութիւնները կրնան բնական ըլլալ եւ անոնք կրնան պատճառել տհաճ անհասկացողութիւններ, ծանակը, սակայն, կը նշանակէ կրկնուող վնասակար վարք, դիտաւորեալ սպառնալիք կամ անձ մը մեկուսացնելու գործողութիւն, որ ժխտականօրէն կ’ազդէ աշակերտին բարեկեցութեան եւ ապահովութեան զգացումին վրայ։
Հոգեբանը աշակերտներուն ըսաւ, որ մեր դպրոցին մէջ կը գործէ աջակցութեան յստակ համակարգ մը, որուն կրնան դիմել աշակերտները՝ ծանակի ենթարկուելու պարագային։ Էլ Զէյն շեշտեց, որ աշակերտները միայնակ չեն եւ միշտ կրնան դիմել բաժանմունքի վարիչին, որ անհրաժեշտութեան պարագային կրնայ համակարգել աշխատանքը դպրոցի ընկերային աշխատողին եւ հոգեբանին հետ։ Ան ընդգծեց արտայայտուելու եւ օգնութիւն խնդրելու կարեւորութիւնը՝ լռութեան փոխարէն։
Հանդիպումները փոխանցեցին յստակ եւ վճռական ուղերձներ. այն, որ ծանակը չի հանդուրժուիր Մեսրոպեանի մէջ, եւ դպրոցը յանձնառու է բոլոր աշակերտներուն համար ապահովելու անվտանգ եւ յարգալից ուսումնական միջավայր մը։ Ծանակի որեւէ հաստատուած դէպք պիտի յանգեցնէ հետեւանքներու, եւ անհրաժեշտութեան պարագային տնօրէնութիւնը լուրջ ու վճռական միջոցներ պիտի ձեռնարկէ։
Նման իրազեկման հանդիպումներու միջոցով, Մեսրոպեանը կը շարունակէ խթանել յարգանքի, պատասխանատուութեան եւ հոգատարութեան մշակոյթը՝ ընդգծելով, որ իւրաքանչիւր աշակերտ դպրոցական համայնքին մէջ արժանի է օգնութիւն ստանալու եւ ինքզինք զգալու ապահով եւ գնահատուած։
