An important parent-teacher meeting of an informative nature took place at the kindergarten of Mesrobian High School, during which the new student assessment system implemented by the kindergarten, previously known as ‘grade report’ or ‘carnet’, was presented to the parents.
This innovation is an important development in the context of the implementation of the homologation conditions granted to our kindergarten by the French Ministry of Education. Let us recall that homologation is a prestigious recognition that places Mesrobian’s Kindergarten among a selected group of schools that meet French educational standards.
The meeting was chaired by Mesrobian’s Principal Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, who welcomed the parents with an opening speech and emphasized the importance of the occasion. Then, the kindergarten’s head teacher, Mrs. Caroline Terzian, spoke, introducing the parents to the new grading system which covers all subjects taught and all aspects of children’s development. She explained that grades will be granted according to children’s abilities in various subjects and that each child’s grade report will accompany them throughout their three-year kindergarten period, ensuring a continuous and consistent record of their development.
The meeting continued with a presentation by the school’s speech therapist, Sarin Bekerejian, who shed light on a number of early childhood language and communication issues. This was followed by a report by the school’s psychomotor therapist, Narod Khederlarian, who addressed the importance of psychomotor development in preschool. Parents then had the opportunity to personally visit the classrooms and see how daily learning is implemented for their children.
Mesrobian always remains committed to maintaining strong relationships with parents, recognizing that open communication and mutual understanding are the foundation of our students' success.
