The 2025–2026 academic year at Mesrobian High School officially kicked off with the teachers’ inaugural meeting, which took place on September 19, 2025.
The day began with a Holy Mass celebrated in the spirit of faith and unity at the St. Savior Church. The officiating priest, Mesrobian’s chaplain, Father Sahag Keshishian, focused in his sermon on the examples of service and dedication that Bishop Ignatius Maloyan, whose canonization will take place soon in the Vatican, passed on through his life and martyrdom. “The life of St. Ignatius Maloyan first teaches us that a true teacher does not only transmit knowledge, but also educates souls. He shows that a teacher must live by the values he teaches, and then, he communicates that education is a path to freedom, justice, and also salvation,” Father Sahag observed.
After the Holy Mass, the teachers gathered in the assembly hall where the school’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, addressed the main tasks of the newly opened academic year. He highlighted three important areas that will receive special attention this year:
The process of Homologation with the French Ministry of Education, the first stage of which is already ongoing in kindergarten,
The launch of the French Baccalaureate program, starting this year in the 10th grade, and
The introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Mesrobian’s educational programs.
Mr. Kaloust reaffirmed Mesrobian’s dedication to academic excellence, innovation and holistic education, and at the same time expressed his deep satisfaction with the excellent results of last year’s official exams, warmly congratulating the teachers for their hard work.
The meeting continued with the participation of invited speakers. Karen Khater, a representative of the Waznat Educational Consulting Company, emphasized the importance of the teachers’ well-being, presenting practical measures to maintain balance and resilience in professional life. Dr. Colette Aoun, Educational Advisor to the Principal, presented the latest approaches in pedagogy and gave an introduction to the application of Artificial Intelligence in the teaching process. Finally, Ms. Toya Otayek demonstrated a number of AI tools and resources that teachers can immediately use in their classrooms.
Accepting faith and the path of innovation as a solid foundation, Mesrobian High School begins the new academic year with confidence and the zeal to provide the best for its students.
