Unprecedented Progress in the Armenian Diaspora
We are proud to announce that the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School in Beirut has officially received the homologation certificate from the French Ministry of Education on June 26, 2025, thus successfully completing the gigantic work that has been carried out for many years to achieve this goal.
“Today’s achievement is a historic page in Mesrobian’s life,” said the school’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust. “It comes to confirm our long-standing vision of providing high-quality, quadrilingual education that is simultaneously rooted in Armenian national identity and upbringing and meets global standards,” he added.
This special and high recognition is an unprecedented event not only in Mesrobian’s educational history, but also of the entire Armenian diaspora, as our school becomes the first Armenian school in the Armenian Diaspora to receive such a state-level accreditation.
Homologation primarily concerns Mesrobian’s kindergarten; step by step, it will be extended to all departments, up to the graduating class, bringing the entire education into line with the educational programs, standards and educational conditions of the French Republic.
Homologation is the result of many years of tireless work in which the school’s administration and teachers were engaged, with the constant support of parents. Its meaning and importance for our students is tremendous. This recognition of the school opens new horizons for them in terms of shaping the best educational and professional future, facilitating access to French-speaking universities, offering international recognition of the certificate and ensuring the quality of their education.
This achievement comes to confirm once again that Mesrobian High School remains true to its mission: to educate a polite, multilingual and responsible new generation which is able to combine its Armenian and universal identities for the sake of a dignified and prosperous future.
Let us remind you that in the 2025-2026 academic year, Mesrobian will also begin implementing the French State Baccalaureate Program (Bacc. Français, starting from the 10th grade), which itself is part of the school’s program to obtain homologation for all departments from the French Ministry of Education.
