On May 15, 2025, the DELF diploma awarding ceremony for Mesrobian High School’s students took place, bringing together our educational community with a meticulously developed program, creating a festive and inspiring atmosphere, with the participation of parents, teachers and friends.

The ceremony was honored by the noteworthy presence of high-ranking officials of the ‘Institut Français’ in Lebanon: Ms. Isabelle Picault, Deputy Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, responsible for French education abroad; Ms. Camille Le Gal, Director of the Language Center and Ms. Dania Ghaddar, Educational Advisor.

The ceremony began with the national anthems of Lebanon, Armenia, and France which were performed with emotion by members of the Mesrobian Choir.

Then, the master of ceremonies, teacher Ms. Jennifer Younes, took the stage to warmly welcome the guests of honor and express her deep pride in this DELF diploma presentation ceremony. She emphasized that Mesrobian High School, while valuing French and other languages, forms citizens who are engrained in their roots yet, they stay open to the world. She wished that the students remain proud of this stage in their lives and continue their journey with the same commitment, because the future belongs to those who dare to learn, dream and build.

A dialogue followed between students Gianna Ouloudjian and Avo Torossian where they shared their experience with the DELF exam, emphasizing that this experience not only improved their language skills, but also strengthened their self-confidence and contributed to the formation of future educational goals. They noted the value of having an internationally recognized certificate and expressed gratitude to their teachers and all those who supported them along the way.

 The artistic segment opened with the dance ‘Moulin Rouge’ which was performed with great success by the school's ‘Shushi’ dance troupe, bringing a Parisian breeze to the audience.

This was followed by a presentation and speech by Ms. Isabelle Picault who emphasized the importance of the DELF diploma in the Francophone world, as well as its value for the future development of students. She sent a warm message of encouragement and faith to the diploma-holders, wishing them great success.

The ceremony continued with beautiful performances by the ‘Shushi’ dance troupe. The students presented traditional Armenian dances, spreading the spirit of Armenian heritage throughout the hall.

Mesrobian High School’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, delivered a moving and inspiring speech, in which he valued the students' efforts and acknowledged the dedication of teachers and parents in reaching this important educational milestone.

He emphasized that obtaining the DELF diploma is a difficult path that requires discipline and consistency, but ultimately opens the doors of the world for our youth.

Mr. Kaloust warmly thanked the French teachers at Mesrobian for their dedication and distinguished teaching, Ms. Hasna Abou Elias, responsible of the intermediate and secondary departments and French coordinator, as well as Dr. Colette Aoun, for her consistency. He then expressed his gratitude to the officials of the ‘Institut Français’, whose presence is an expression of their strong commitment and faith in Francophone education in Lebanon.

The event reached its most anticipated moment: the diploma awarding ceremony, where the students received their DELF diplomas with pride and happy smiles.

The day's memory was sealed with a group photo, where those present affirmed together the festive spirit and value of this special moment for all.
