Recyclable Waste Collection
At the initiative of the Guidance and Counseling Office of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School, the Lebanese non-governmental organization ‘Live Love Recycle’ has undertaken a recyclable waste collection project with Mesrobian’s students, intending to transform our school into a major advocate for the idea of recycling and environmental protection in our educational community and the Bourj Hammoud region.
Mesrobian is the first school with which the above-mentioned organization is starting this program, which will later be implemented in 15 other schools in various regions of Lebanon, based on the experience gained at Mesrobian.
On this occasion, representatives of the ‘Live Love Recycle’ organization visited Mesrobian College on April 10, 2025 and had a meeting with the students of the high school. They explained the proposed program in s detailed manner and presented the action plan which will be implemented with joint efforts.
Mr. Zaven Teghlian, the Guidance and Counseling Office Manager, reported that waste collection in Mesrobian will begin with the high school, to later include all students and staff members of the school. A system of incentives for waste collection will be implemented to encourage students to actively participate in the program and spread it among their friends and family, in order to ensure a healthier and cleaner lifestyle.
