Mesrobian’s seventh grade students made a two-day presentation about Armenian congregations, saints and priests, under the guidance of the Christian Education teacher, Rev. Father Sahag Keshishian.
Presentations were first made about the Saints who molded the basis of Christianity in Armenia, the apostles St. Tateos and St. Partoghomeos, as well as St. Minas, the St. Kayaniants and St. Hripsimiants virgins, St. Krikor Lousavoritsh, St. Vlas, the Great St. Nercess, St. Sahag Bartev, St. Nercess Shenorhali, St. Nercess Lampronatsi and about St. Krikor Naregatsi. Then, figures with important Christian heritage from the Middle Ages and until today were presented: Abp. Mekhitar Sepasdatsi, Catholicos Apraham Bedros Ardzivian, Cardinal Andon Bedros Hassoun, Blessed Iknadios Maloyan, S.D. Cardinal Krikor Bedros Aghajanian, S.D. Bishop Guregh Zohrabian, Bishop Sahag Gokian, Rev. Father Boghos Aris, Rev. Father Sahag Keshishian (Jesuit), Rev. Father Antranig Granian, as well as the Mekhitarian, Bzommarian and the Armenian Sisters of the Immaculate Conception Congregations.
The school’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, who was also attending these presentations, highly appreciated the serious work of the students and wished that they could assimilate the history of these important figures and turn these presentations into a traditional work, so that the present and future generations could better recognize the work and mission of their ancestors.
