On Friday, November 11 2005, at 19:00, Mesrobian Technical College organized a painting exhibition for the talented artist Mrs. Rita Massoyan-Yedalian in AGBU Demirdjian Center, sponsored by the Lebanese Cultural Minister Dr. Tarek Metri.
Many honorable guests were present in the opening ceremony, including Msgr. Vartan Ashkarian, General Vicar of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Beirut, Rev. Soghomon Kilaghbian, Chairman of the Union of Evangelical Armenian Churches, Msgr. Vahan Ohanian, General Secretary of Mkhitarist Fathers' Congregation, and the ex-minister Mr. Jack Choukhadarian.
In his speech, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the executive director of Mesrobian College, emphasized that the College is always ready to encourage young armenian talents even when the country is passing through politically difficult phase. All the same, Mrs. Dima Raad, the representative of the Cultural Minister Dr. Tarek Metri, encouraged Mesrobian for this initiative and observed that it is a lebanese attitude to continue to contribute to the civil and artistic growth of the mankind even in hard and difficult days.
The 74 art works of Mrs. Yedalian showed that she belongs to the Cubism Movement. In these pieces she presented musical (jazz) intruments as well as female portraits using acrylic, oil, pastel, chalk, colored pencil and gravure.
