On Monday, November 21, 2005, Mesrobian High School celebrated the Lebanese Independence Day. Mr. Ibrahim Canaan, a Lebanese parliament depute, was the honorable guest of the event.
Mr. Ibrahim Canaan was welcomed by two Mesrobian students, wearing Armenian folkloric costumes, with the traditional "bread and salt". He was also welcomed by the Mesrobian administration who presented him the souvenir of the event.
After taking a tour in the campus of the college, the guest, the direction and the students headed towards Boghossian Hall where Mesrobian High School students have prepared an artistic program for the event.
During the program, the depute received another souvenir from the students of Mesrobian, a painting worked under the supervision of Mrs. Rita Yedalian.
The program concluded with the paternal word of Msgr. Vartan Ashkarian: "Love Mt. Ararad, and through Ararad love the Cedar. Otherwise it will not be authentic."
