The Start of the Sports & Cultural Club

With all its sections, Mesrobian High School began the new school year 2011-2012 with great enthusiasm. And being still in back to school atmosphere, the school administration took quickly charge of the very useful work of setting up the sports and cultural club of Mesrobian.

On Saturday, the 8th of October, at 11:00 AM, there was a warm atmosphere notably in the school’s Farajian auditorium. The parents of different grades students were gathered there to know about the new project of the sports and cultural club that was promising new qualitative characteristics, as it was going to be clear shortly.

The school principal Mr. Gregoire Kaloust’s welcoming speech was received with sincere smiles. The audience was aware of the fact that when the school makes a suggestion for a new project, this project will be presented to them only after being studied and developed properly.

The parents are right. Also, by considering the physical and cultural activities as something very important for the healthy physical and mental development of the children and the adolescents, Mrs. Ani Toranian (the director of the sports and cultural club of Mesrobian) presented the new project that was outlined meticulously on power-point, in addition, she explained in detail to the parents the characteristic advantages of each activity, so that they can guide their children in the best way.

Moreover, the new project of the sports and cultural club, which is taken as a weekend extracurricular activity, is so rich and varied that it may satisfy many of its students having different kinds of interests.

The project includes the following activities: acting, painting, ceramics, script writing, photography, chess, Armenian dance, European and Latin American dance, football, basketball, ping-pong, gymnastics and martial arts.

Thus, the school administration aims, in future, at helping its talented students so that in the near future, they develop their own individuality in the society.

And as all the noble aims, we are sure that this one too will be realized, for this is guaranteed by the close cooperation of our conscious parents.
