Armenian Karaoke Night

Saturday, the 19th of November was a special day for the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School. The day before, there were students saying « It’s Armenian, I will not go», but the day after, many will say « It’s Armenian, I will go».

What happened was a try but, more importantly it was a good try. It was an excellent Armenian karaoke party night organized by the students’ group. The atmosphere was pleasant and the students listened continually, for 3 to 4 hours, to different kinds of Armenian songs, such as lyrical, popular and national as well as love songs.

They all sang together that day whether they knew the songs or not, whether they had a beautiful voice or not. They sang at least in Armenian and that’s what we were asking for. Finally, they danced together the « Round Dance of Unity ».

So, the students who organized the karaoke night expressed themselves in their own manner and they transmitted their message by achieving their aim. Thanks to every one of them.

Let’s repeat such initiatives and let’s spread the Armenian culture and art that constitute our identity.
