On Saturday, the 7th of May 2011, the holy ceremony of the First Communion of 54 Mesrobian students took place in the St. Savior church in Bourj Hammoud.

The holy mass of the First Communion was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Hovhannes Teyrouzian.


The church was crowded. There were Bishop Vartan Ashkarian, the parish priest of St. Savior church Father Sarkis Tavitian and Father Sebouh Garabedian, as well as Mesrobian High School principal Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the school prefect Mr. Abdel Massih Abou Elias and the assistant school prefect for the primary cycle Mrs. Esther Nurpetlian, school administrative staff members and primary cycle teaching staff members, members of the school parents� committee, in addition to the parents and friends of the children who received the communion.


At the end of the soul-stirring ceremony of the First and Holy Communion, all the children and their parents were gathered in the church hall where hospitality was done. The children who received their communion took a souvenir photo individually and received souvenirs.

We congratulate our students and their parents on this beautiful and happy occasion. In this way, 54 Christians became the devoted apostles of Jesus Christ.
