On Tuesday, 15th of September, 2009, the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School's administrative and academic staff were gathered for the start-of-the-year meeting for the
academic year 2009-2010.
As a yearly tradition, the staff and the teachers were headed to the
St. Savior Church at 9:00 o'clock in the morning, where they participated to the Holy Mass lead by
Father Sarkis Tavitian.
After the Mass, the presents moved to the "Jean Faradjian" auditorium for the general academic meeting.
The meeting was opened by
Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the principal of Mesrobian High School, who welcomed all the presents. After going over the rules and regulations of the school, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust welcomed the new members who joined the Mesrobian family:
Rania Istambouli Abosh (1st Grade Arabic teacher),
Sandra Najem (7th Grade Mathematics teacher),
Mr. Raffi Demirdjian (Armenian Language Coordinator),
Shaghig Gogonian (Orthophoniste, speech and language therapist) and
Carole Sheyban (Orthopedagogue, speech and language instructor).
Following that, the principal stressed on the healthcare, specifically speaking about the swine flu pandemic and the prevention measures taken by the school.
He also talked about the future construction projects, including the
renovation of the kindergarten building. Moreover, he introduced the new
eSchool system for the secondary section, where classrooms are enhanced with the
newest computerized audio-visual equipments.
He concluded his speech by encouraging all to have a smooth and fruitful academic year.
