On Sunday, 28th of March, 2010, at 7:00PM in the evening, Mesrobian High School and Technical College
welcomed
Her Excellency Mrs. Hranush Hacobyan, Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia,
accompanied by
His Excellency Mr. Ashod Kocharian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the Republic of Armenia in Lebanon.
In reverence to St. Mesrob Mashdots, the founder of the Armenian alphabets, Mrs. Hacobyan placed
a basket of flowers in front of the St. Mesrob monument in the school playground.
During her short visit, Mrs. Hacobian was informed about the High School as well as the technical
college. Following that, she offered several copies of "The Armenian World of Fairy Tales"
and "Learn from the Eldery". Both publications are the work of the Ministry of Diaspora,
published in Western Armenian language, aimed for the children of the Armenian Diaspora.
In his turn,
Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the principal of Mesrobian High School and Technical College,
offered Her Excellency, the complete publication portfolio of Mesrobian High School,
which consisted of the yearly school report, several issues of the Mesrobian Messenger, the school calendar,
as well as pamphlets about the Mesrobian Technical College.
Her Excellency left Mesrobian campus with positive influences.
She also made an invitation to host a group of Mesrobian students in Armenia.
