On Tuesday, the 3rd of August 2010, at 4:00 PM, the newly invented group of educational journalism students of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School, accompanied by the teacher adviser Raffi Demirdjian, visited the editing house of �Aztag Daily�, with the aim of taking the initiative in preparing young manpower.


The group met the director of �Aztag Daily� who talked about the role of the press and the current situation of the Armenian daily newspapers as well as the difficulties they are facing. He also emphasized that our editorial staffs need young manpower and the initiative taken by Mesrobian can really serve that purpose.

Then, one of the editors Nora Parseghian showed in the �Punig� hall the distribution of �Aztag Daily� pages, the work system and the importance of journalistic work. Parseghian emphasized that the newspaper needs a continuous, devoted and organized work so that it can be possible to realize the aims of the press as well as its mission.

At the end of the meeting, the students of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School visited the offices of �Aztag Daily� as well as the printing house, in order to get to know more closely the works which are done there.

On this occasion, Raffi Demirdjian said to �Aztag daily��s staff that Mesrobian�s group of educational journalism students is thinking about creating in the near future a similar atmosphere in the school by working in publishing, education and many other fields. And in the distant future, the group is thinking about preparing manpower in the domain of journalism.

Let�s mention that on Tuesday the 27th of July, the group had visited �Ararad� daily newspaper and had met the chief editor of the newspaper, Aharon Shekherdemian who, in his turn, mentioned �Ararad� daily newspaper�s activity as well as the importance of including new elements in the domain of journalism.
