On Friday 28, and on Saturday 29 November, 2008, in
"Emile Lahoud" hall in Debayeh, the
Armenian American children's songs interpreter Taline performed two fantastic concerts. She was accompanied by
"Happy Birthday" group as well as
Mesrobian High School dancing group. This event was part of the series of events offered to the 70th anniversary of Mesrobian High School.
During the previous month, a special committee was involved in the preparation of this event. The committee did not save any effort for a successful concert. The stylish uniforms of the dancing group, the extravagant decoration of the stage, as well as other performers dresses were part of the fruits of their labor.
More than 2000 persons were there to see and hear Taline: children, parents, and grand-parents. Children already knew her name, as well as the songs she performed. Pedagogue by vocation, Taline was able to capture the children hearts. She was so impressive that the children gathered around and got up on stage and see her more closely.
At the end of the concerts, Taline and her friends, i.e. Nabig (Taline's Armenian American coworker
Shamon), the Kitten, the Princess and the Clown (members of "Happy Birthday" group) met the children outside the theatre hall, in order to take some pictures. Taline was also busy signing on the sold CD and DVD album covers for her little fans.
It is worthy to note that Taline had an interview with Lebanese Armenian radio stations. Also, the Lebanese "
Future TV" broadcasted a reportage about her.
On Friday, 28th of November, 2008, in the morning, Taline, her husband -
Mr. Alex Besos, and her co-worker were the guests of Mesrobian High School. They visited the Kindergarten and the Elementary Section of the school, where they had a warm meeting with the students. Later on, they had a tour within the different departments of the school.
Taline's short stay will have a durable impact in the Lebanese Armenian children memories.
