
On Tuesday, 16th of September, 2008, the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School's
administrative staff and teachers were gathered for the
opening meeting of the academic year 2008-2009.
Just before the meeting, as a yearly tradition, the staff and the teachers were present in the
Saint Savior church to a Mass held for the same occasion, offered by
Father Garabet Tateossian.
After the Mass, the presents moved to the "
Jean Faradjian" auditorium for the general academic meeting.

The opening speech was addressed by the school's principal,
Mr. Gregoire Kaloust. The principal warmly greeted all the teachers coming from the summer vacation. Afterwards, he made a comparison between the official exams performances of the last five years, hoping that the results will be better for the new year.
Speaking about the school's number of students, he noted that there are students from different denominations and nationalities. However, he insisted, being an Armenian Catholic school, Mesrobian accepts all these students, provided that they attend the Armenian Language, Armenian History, and religion courses. Moving to the summer vacation program, he highly appreciated the "
Oasis 2008", by which the school obtained numerous students.

After which, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust warmly greeted all the new teachers who joined Mesrobian family, and introduced to them the school's rules and hierarchy. He stressed that all teachers should follow the school's rules and regulations, respect each other and take their responsibilities seriously. He concluded that rules and regulations should be respected by the students and the teachers in order to have a perfect order.
Talking about the coming plans, he said that one of the teachers,
Mrs. Caroline Terzian, will leave for Italy and will have serious studies, which will hopefully become profitable for the future of the school, both on the organizational and educational levels. All the teachers will have the chance to
Following his word, Mr. Gregoire, and after answering to the questions of the teachers, concluded: "
We should start this year with full cooperation and enthusiasm in order to be able to accomplish the mission."
After a brief break and a small reception, different departments held separate small meetings.
Finally, the administrative staff and the teachers had a memorial picture in the courtyard in front of Saint Mesrob monument.
