On Monday, 13th of April, 2009, in the early morning, Mesrobian High School Grade 12
Terminal students prepared themselves for a
4 days trip to Jordan.
For two years in a row,
Prof. Angelo Bosio, President of the benevolent organization
DMS Onlus (Brescia, Italy), and his noble wife
Prof. Barbara Bosio present this gift to our Terminal students. Moreover, this year,
Kevork Harboyan High School terminal students will also join Mesrobian students for the trip, thanks to our faithful benevolent organization, DMS Onlus.
The students reached Jordan at 3:00PM and had their lunch in a restaurant in Jarash. Following that, they visited some Roman remains. Afterwards, they visited the Royal cars exhibition. They reached their hotel in the evening. After having unpacking and having a break, they went to a traditional restaurant nearby.
The second day was dedicated to spiritual activities. They went to the River of Jordan, where they listened to a historical lecture, full of scientific details. Afterwards, they headed towards the place where Jesus Christ was baptized. The student Garen Yeusulkanian was chosen to bring some water down the river. After praying in a Greek Church, they headed towards the Dead Sea. There, they had their launch and spent some happy moments. Following that, they went to Petra and entered the second hotel, which was reserved for them.
During the third day, they visited the Temple of Petra, where specialists gave them historical details about the site. From there they headed to Wadi Ram, where they became the guests of the Bedouins. They spend the night in Acaba.
The following day, they had a tour in Red Sea by boat. They spent their last hours visiting the Acaba markets. After buying some souvenirs, they prepared themselves to return to Lebanon. They reached at 2:00AM.
