On Saturday, 1^st of November, 2008, at 6:00pm, a large number of people were gathered in the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School's "Faradjian" auditorium, to be present for the first ceremony offered to the 70^th anniversary of the foundation of Mesrobian High School: the official inauguration of the Elementary and Kindergarten new library and "For Mom 'n' Me" beauty center.

Among the presents was Bishop Vartan Ashkarian, the ex-minister Mr. Shahé Barsoumian, the MP Mr. Hagop Kassardjian, Bourj Hammoud mayor Mr. Antranig Messerlian, the representative of "Boghossian and Sons" fund in Lebanon Mr. Patrick Faradjian, college's benefactor Mr. Varouj Nerguizian, the national director of World Vision in Lebanon Mr. Perry Mansfield, the representative of French Cultural Center, as well as other national, political, cultural and spiritual representatives and honorable guests.


The opening speech was delivered by the principal of the college, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust. He distinctively cited the college's benefactors as well as project contributors, one by one: "R. Boghossian and Sons" fund founded by Jean and Albert Boghossian, the "Lincy" foundation represented by Mr. Harout Sassounian, Mr. Varouj Nerguizian, the national director of World Vision Mr. Perry Mansfield, the French Cultural Center represented by Mrs. Blandine Yazbek, who closely followed the works of the new library, the library's architect Mr. Dikran Kaloustian, the beauty center architect Mr. Vazken Nurpetlian, and "For Mom 'n' Me" logo designer Miss Angela Nurpetlian, which was a gift from her to the college.

Addressing his speech to Mr. Varouj Nerguizian, the principal said: "Your presence and support increases day by day. By naming the library after your father's name, we would like to show our sincere gratitude."


Following the speech of the principal, Mr. Vartan Hovsepian, a Mesrobian graduate, performed on guitar, after which Ms. Sarin Aznavourian delivered the speech of the representative of "R. Boghossian and Sons" fund, Mr. Patrick Faradjian. Subsequently, Mr. Varouj Nerguizian, as well as the national director of World Vision, Mr. Perry Mansfield, delivered their speeches.

At the end of the speeches, the audience moved to "Abraham Nerguizian" newly built library, uncovering the veil from the board and pompously announcing the opening of the Elementary and Kindergarten library. After moving around in the library, the audience went towards "For Mom 'n' Me" beauty center, which is neighboring the Armenian Catholic St. Savior Church. The opening was ceremoniously carried out by Bishop Vartan Ashkarian, Mr. Perry Mansfield and Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, by cutting the ribbon. The guests moved around the beauty center and had a lovely reception.
