On Friday, May 23, 2008, the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School has celebrated its 2007-2008 academic year's Graduation Night. The Mesrobian courtyard was crowded by teachers and staff, students, friends, parents and a great multitude of honorable guests.

Under a burst of applause, the graduate students were invited one by one to the stage.


The ceremony started with the Lebanese and Armenian national anthems, followed by Mesrobian High School hymn. Then, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the principal of Mesrobian High School, was invited to stage in order to address his speech. After a heartfelt welcome to all the presents, he said: "Today, we are celebrating the first graduation ceremony standing in front of the monument of St. Mesrob. It is indeed a heart-warming experience."

Moreover, he particularly welcomed the president of the ceremony, Prof. Angelo Bosio, who is the president of the benevolent Christian organization DMS Onlus of Brescia (Italy), and his noble wife Prof. Barbara Bosio. The principal highy appreciated the efforts of this couple in supporting Mesrobian financially and morally. At the end of his speech, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust directed his words to the graduates: "Today, it ought to be one of the best days of your life for you shall receive your secondary level school diploma. Indeed, you deserve to be appreciated for the efforts you have made throughout the years. I, sincerely, wish you all that a father wishes for his own child. Above all, I wish to see you all in universities next year."


After the principal's word, the graduates performed a well-prepared and pleasing artistic program. Following that, they, ceremonially, transmitted the "Mesrobian Shield" to the 11^th grade. A DVD was shown as a brief report to their last scholar year's deeds. There were also speeches from the graduates in Armenian, Arabic, French and English, expressing the gratitude of the students towards theirs parents for their support, as well as towards Mesrobian administration, teachers and staff for their selfless efforts.

Following that, the president of the ceremony, Prof. Angelo Bosio, was invited to stage. In his speech, he stressed on his and his wife's authentic compassion, that they feel towards Mesrobian College and the Armenian Community in general. Meanwhile, a movie was shown about SERIDO' 2008 during which, as Prof. Bosio explained, the benevolent event VICINI DI PACE (our peace neighbors) was launched. Along with the efforts DMS Onlus, this event targets to fully support the construction of the new Mesrobian Kindergarten.


Finally, Msgr. Vartan Ashkarian was invited to the stage. The most reverend father congratulated the graduates and their parents. He, particularly, stressed on the fact that Armenian youth ought to relate themselves to their national problem. He also encouraged the Armenian parents to trust their children to Armenian schools. Subsequently, the most reverend father, Prof. Angelo and Barbara Bosio, and the principal ceremonially distributed the diplomas to the graduate students. The graduates celebrated the event under the "Congratulations" song rhythm and went towards the playground to receive the audience congratulations.
