On Tuesday, 13th of March, 2007, at 9:00 AM, Mesrobian High School and Technical College welcomed
Mr. Mihail David Seroka, International Relations Analyst and International Child Labor Program Specialist in the United State Department of Labor, Bureau of International Labor Affairs; and his colleague
Mrs. Michelle Speisman, International Relations Analyst. They were accompanied by
Mrs. Liesbeth Zonneveld, Director of ACCESS-MENA program in CHF International and her colleague
Mr. Bruce Parmelee, Director of Global Operators in Africa and Middle East. They were welcomed by Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the Principal of Mesrobian College.
During the meeting, Mr. Gregoire presented detailed information about Mesrobian High School and the Technical College. Furthermore, He also demonstrated the official website of Mesrobian by visiting Mesrobian.com online.
After virtual online tour, the guests continued their visit by having a real tour within the campus of Mesrobian. The guests got acquainted with school's showroom, conference room, library, laboratory, as well as the newly build court on the roof. The guests also met with
the winners of "YES" program and they carefully listened to
previous year's winner's experience.
Following that, the honorable guests headed towards the Technical College building, where they met the students of B.P. program in the classroom. These students work paid jobs in the afternoon, after classes. The guests had one-to-one lengthily discussions with the students.
The visit ended in the reception hall of Mesrobian, where Mr. Mihail Seroka and Mrs. Michelle Speisman left their positive impressions on the Golden Book of Mesrobian. Specifically, Mrs. Speisman noted: "
I very much enjoyed visiting your beautiful school. I am very impressed with the enthusiasm of the principal, staff and children. It is clear that you have created a very excellent environment for children to learn. We were pleased to meet with the children in the ACCESS-MENA program and are happy that these children have an opportunity to learn in such a quality environment."
The guests left the school in a warm and happy atmosphere, thanking the administration of the school for the cooperation their having with the U.S. Department of Labor and CHF International.
