On Friday, March 2 2007, at 10:00AM, Mesrobian welcomed Father Andrea Sbarbada, the General Secretary of Faith Propagation Service of the Italian Episcopal Conference, along with Father Paul Karam, the National Director of the Pontifical Missionary Societies organization. The event was covered by a group of journalists from the Italian SAT2000 TV channel, headed by Mr. Antonio Soviero. Father Vartan Ashkarian, the President of the Directors Committee of the Armenian Catholic Schools, and Father Kevork Yeghiayan, Chief Priest of the Patriarchal Clergy Institute of Bzommar, were also present during the visit.

The aim of the visit was to get acquainted to Mesrobian College with all its departments, taking into consideration the fact that the Italian Episcopal Conference was supporting Mesrobian for years.

After a cozy meeting with the Principal of the school, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the honorable guests took a tour within Mesrobian Campus.

Father Andrea Sbarbada left a memorandum in the Golden Book of Mesrobian where he wrote: "The Lebanese Armenian community have an important role in the Lebanese internal mosaic. This community, by sticking to its faith and its national culture, was able not only to sustain itself but also to develop. Mesrobian School is the greatest proof of this development."

The honorable guests left the school heading towards the Patriarchal Clergy Institute of Bzommar.
