On Tuesday, November 7, 2006, Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School welcomed Mr. Harout Sasounian, president of the United Armenian Fund. Mr. Harout Sasounian is visiting Lebanon to make a tour within 28 Lebanese Armenian schools, among which Mesrobian High School, in order to submit the donations made by the United Armenian Fund to the Armenian schools who got financially affected from the last war that ravaged the country.
The guest was welcomed by the students at 11:15 in the morning in the students' main court. Mr. Gregoire Kaloust addressed a welcoming speech and emphasized that it is not the riches that values a man but "we are now in front of a person who has dedicated himself for the homeland and the nation".

Mher Shemmessian, in the name of Mesrobian students, said "We are happy that you are our guest today and that you will explore our school, this little corner of our Lebanon. We hope that you will feel at home."
In his turn, Mr. Harout Sasounian expressed his thankfulness "for all the nice words that Mr. the Director and the beloved student have spoken about me". He continued "However, I did not come here today to speak about me. I am here today to tell you that I am proud and moved to see this large number of young Armenians, who, within a very short period of time, will start doing the same things that we, the adults, are doing... Each person among you is very important. He is important as a man and he is important as an Armenian, who, after studying here in Mesrobian and then in a university, will play a great role in the future of our nation".

After the welcoming of the students, the honorable guest had a meeting with the administrative members of Mesrobian High School. Following that, he continued his meeting privately with Mr. Gregoire Kaloust and made the generous donation that came from the United Armenian Fund.
Mr. Harout Sasounian had also a tour in Mesrobian Campus, and got acquainted with the different section of Mesrobian. He left the school highly impressed.
