On Thursday, 7th of December, 2006, Mesrobian High School organized a Greeting Cards Exhibition sponsored by DMS Onlus of Breshia, Italy.
At 7:30 in the evening, Mesrobian students, parents and staff as well as Mesrobian friends were present in the Mesrobian High School's main court, along with Prof. Angelo Bosio, president of DMS Onlus and his wife Dr. Barbara Bosio, to inaugurate the event.
Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the executive director of Mesrobian High School, addressed the opening speech to the present. He emphasized that the exhibition is organized to encourage the students to enhance their artistic skills. He also noted that, unlike last year, this year's greeting cards send peace messages besides Christmas and New Year themes. At the end of his speech, he thanked Prof. Angelo and Dr. Barbara for the financial support they are showing and for their presence in Lebanon, despite the unstable political situation.
In his turn, Prof. Angelo Bosio addressed his speech to the presents and emphasized that the DMS Onlus organization has happily chosen Mesrobian High School to support it with the financial support it needs. He showed hope to organize the next Greeting Cards Exhibition next year for the third consecutive years.
Following the speeches, financial awards were submitted to the students who designed the most beautiful greeting cards.
Msgr. Vartan Ashkarian, the General Vicar of the Armenian Catholic Church, honored Prof. Angelo Bosio with St. Mesrob decoration medal. He warmly thanked Prof. Angelo as a guardian of Mesrobian High School.
