Friday, 19th of May, 2006, was a day to remember at Mesrobian High School.

In fact, the Mesrobian Alumni Committee organized the long waited cultural and sporting event, which made the students and the teachers of the High School rest from their lessons for one day.

The event started with Father Vartan Kazandjian praying the Lord's Prayer. The students and the teachers joined Father Vartan in his prayer. After which, the Lebanese and the Armenian national flags, along with Mesrobian High School flag were raised under the national antems and Mesrobian Song.

In his speech, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust highly appreciated the efforts made by Mr. Vazken Nurpetlian, the chairman of Mesrobian Alumni Committee in order to make the day a success. He also expressed his hope to make the date a tradition in Mesrobian calendar to be held in the coming years.

In his turn, Mr. Vazken Nurpetlian declared: "Today is a day of celebration. It is a day dedicated to singing, musical performances, drawing, theater, sports, kermes and feast. The aim of organizing this event, is to gather the different units of Mesrobian family into one cultural and sporting day".

Mesrobian Day started at 7:30AM and continued till 2:00PM. The fun and celebration atmosphere reigned throught the day.

By the end of the day, Mr Vazken stated: "We hope to that dream will continue and develop in the future".
