
On Thursday, 11th of May 2006, at 8 o'clock in the evening, Mesrobian High school organized a miniatures exhibition for the Armenian national artist Narine Krikorian.
The Ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon Mr. Vahan Der Ghevontian, Msgr. Vartan Ashkarian, General Vicar of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Beirut, Mr. Antranig Mserlian, mayor of Bourj Hammoud, were present at the opening ceremony as well as many honorable guests and armenian spiritual leaders.
Mrs Garine Tashjian, in her speech, welcomed the guests and the artist, who was presenting her first personal exhibition of her works. She also mentioned that the exhibition is a unique event in the event series dedicated to the commemoration of the Armenian Alphabet's 1600th Anniversary. After wishing the artist perpetuation into brighter future and successful career, Mrs Garine thanked Mr. and Mrs. Krikor and Yester Terzian, who willingly sponsored the exhibition.
Narine Krikorian, born in Yerevan, belongs to the young generation of national artists, who added a modern touch to the Armenian Miniature art without giving away the classical traditions. In this exhibition she presented many of her works, including the Armenian Alphabet, which was the center of attraction of the exhibition.
