The French Institute - French Embassy in Lebanon organized the “Jeunes Plumes Engagées” program throughout the Lebanese territory aiming adolescents from different establishments. This exceptional program, designed in collaboration with L'Orient-Le-Jour, ALBA (Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts) and the YomKom platform, aims to develop the journalism skills of Lebanese adolescents from labeled French-speaking schools by offering a unique journalism experience thanks to the support of professionals.
In the Beirut region, Mesrobian College was selected and represented by Serly Terzian and Jack Terzian from the 11th grade, accompanied by Mrs. Juliette Mhanna and Mrs. Hasna Abou Elias. A 9-hour training course was provided on April 16 and 24 at the French Institute by the journalist Fouad Gemayel from L’Orient-Le-Jour.
Serly and Jack will carry out an interview with a personality having a singular, apolitical and secular background. The production of photographs will be ensured by students of the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts. The written article will be published on the YomKom platform and on social networks. In addition, an exhibition of portraits will be organized at the French Institute of Lebanon in Beirut, intending to tour the entire Lebanese territory.
