On April 15, 2024, the graduating class students of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School went to their traditional pilgrimage of the Darb el Sama route to the Harissa Our Lady of Lebanon Sanctuary where they prayed the Holy Virgin and asked for her blessings to flow upon them and their loved ones.
Led by Mesrobian's chaplain, Rev. Father Raffi Hovhannessian, and accompanied by the school’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the students walked approximately 3 kilometers from the forest of Jounieh to the pilgrimage site.
At the beginning of the journey, Mesrobian's students visited the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide on the Jounieh highway and paid tribute to our 1.5 million martyrs.
In his sermon during the Holy Mass that he celebrated on this occasion, Rev. Father Raffi Hovhannessian wished the students much success in their higher studies as well as in their future career path. After mentioning that this is their last Mass as Mesrobian’s students, Father Raffi expressed his hope that the graduates will keep Jesus Christ’s love in their hearts throughout their lives and remain faithful to the Armenian Church while becoming committed Armenian nationalists.
