A number doubled in four years
59 CHILDREN PASSED FROM THE NURSERY TO KINDERGARTEN AT MESROBIAN HIGH SCHOOL
On June 24, 2022, the end of year event of the Alice Nerguizian Nursery at Mesrobian Higher School took place, transporting the attendees for about an hour to the beautiful world of children, full of dances, music, theatrical images and bright colors.
At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 59 children bid farewell to Nerguizian Nursery, which is twice the number of children who graduated from it in 2018. Next year, they will take their first steps in education as Kindergarten students.
In her welcome speech, Mrs. Tamar Feslian Keshishian, the manager of the Nursery, said that children are like small seeds which grow up to become trees. At Nerguizian Nursery, we work to grow stable trees from these seeds, that is, to lay the foundations for the future person in them who will be free, independent, self-sufficient, self-confident and proactive. Mrs. Tamar expressed her satisfaction that the staff of the Nursery diligently fulfilled their duty this year as well, so that the children were brought up with the values of a model Armenian Christian, while developing their minds and knowledge.
Children of different ages from the Nursery presented 4 different and carefully prepared dances. The audience was greatly pleased by the dance theater performance entitled ‘Grandfather and the Turnip’, through which the children told this well-known story embodying the idea of unity.
Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the Principal of Mesrobian, delivered the closing speech. He highly appreciated the work of the Nursery manager and the staff members, which was incredibly effective in spite of the current conditions we’re all living in. He expressed his satisfaction that the children of the Nursery appeared in front of the public more self-confident and happy than ever, which in itself portrays the educational environment in which they were formed over the past years. Mr. Kaloust thanked the clergy of the Holy Savior Church as well as the parents and friends of Mesrobian who supported the school to end another scholastic year with satisfactory results.
