On June 9, the Principal and the students of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School honored the school's long-time nurse, Mrs Sossy Nersessian-Mayissian, with special gatherings and thanked her for her devoted service, bidding her farewell as an effective staff member of the school.

At the end of the morning prayer, Mesrobian's Principal, Mr Gregoire Kaloust, addressed the students gathered in the courtyard and highly praised Mrs Sossy's work at the school. “Mrs Sossy has been an exemplary, conscientious and caring, diligent and dependable employee who fully carried out her duties for the benefit of the students' health,” said Mr Kaloust. “A graduate of the American University of Beirut, she faithfully served as a nurse and acted professionally upon the Florence Nightingale Pledge, always committed to ensure the health and well-being of our students,” he added.

To the students’ warm applause, Mrs Sossy Nersessian-Mayissian was awarded the School's "Sign of Gratitude" on behalf of Mesrobian's administration, in recognition of her dedicated service to the school since 2011.

A separate gathering was also held at the Kindergarten, where the children used to have relatively more interaction with her on a daily basis. In a tender mood, the kindergarten students thanked Mrs Sossy for her care and attention in a note they had prepared.
